Dress Code

✨ Sometimes the best adventures begin when you least expect them. ✨🌊➡️🏔️ In 2022, Shelley traded the beaches of California for the mountains of Colorado, ready for a fresh start and new adventures. While she loved Colorado, moving to a new state meant starting over. Without a community of friends, she decided to join a local slow-pitch softball league, hoping to meet new people and feel more at home.🥎 That's where she first spotted Patrick. She didn't know his name yet, but she definitely noticed him—and was instantly smitten.🎳 A few weeks later, after a softball game, they officially met at the local bowling alley. They hit it off immediately, and what started as an easy conversation quickly turned into something much more.❤️ It didn't take long to realize how much they had in common. Both grew up playing baseball and softball, both competed at the collegiate level, and Patrick spent years coaching the sport he loves. Their shared passion for the game brought them together, and countless evenings on the softball field soon became some of their favorite memories.🏂⛷️🥾⛳🛶🐾 When they aren't playing softball, you'll likely find them exploring the Colorado mountains, snowboarding and skiing, hiking, golfing, paddleboarding, kayaking, traveling, playing a competitive game of cornhole, or spending time with their dog, Rocky.But some of their favorite moments are the simplest ones—laughing until they can't breathe, making each other giggle over absolutely nothing, and enjoying each other's company whether they're out on an adventure or simply relaxing at home. Together, they make even the ordinary days feel special.🎄❄️💍 Then came one of their favorite Colorado memories. After an incredible day skiing and snowboarding together, Patrick suggested they head into the forest to cut down a Christmas tree. As Shelley admired the snowy mountain scenery, Patrick completely surprised her by getting down on one knee among the pine trees and asked her to marry him. Through happy tears and complete surprise, she said YES!🥂✨ Now, they're so excited to celebrate the next chapter of their greatest adventure with all of the people they love most. Our Story

🏔️ Our Colorado Adventures 🏔️ Patrick was lucky enough to grow up in the Colorado mountains, while Shelley moved from California in 2022 in search of a new adventure. 🌲✨ Together, they've embraced everything Colorado has to offer—from skiing ⛷️, snowboarding 🏂, snowmobiling ❄️, ice skating ⛸️, and cheering on Colorado Rockies ⚾ and hockey games 🏒, to hiking 🥾, jeeping 🚙, dirt biking 🏍️, paddleboarding 🌊, boating 🚤, kayaking 🚣, golfing ⛳, soaking in hot springs ♨️, discovering local breweries 🍻, enjoying live concerts 🎶 and comedy shows 😂, traveling ✈️, and playing softball 🥎 with an incredible community of friends. Of course, many of those adventures include their four-legged sidekick, Rocky 🐾, who loves hiking mountain trails, exploring new places, and joining them wherever the next adventure leads. Colorado has become the backdrop for so many unforgettable memories, and they're excited to share the place they now call home with all of you as they celebrate their biggest adventure yet. 🤍🏔️

✈️ Travel &amp; Lodging We're so excited to celebrate with you in the beautiful Colorado mountains! We recommend arriving on Thursday if possible so you can join us for the Welcome Party and enjoy everything Summit County has to offer before the big day. 🛬 Flying InThe closest airport is Denver International Airport (DEN), located about 1.5 hours from Frisco, depending on traffic and weather. If you plan on exploring the area before or after the wedding, renting a car is a great option. If not, be sure to check out our recommended airport shuttle service below. Please note that Uber and Lyft between Denver Airport and Summit County can be very expensive, so we don't recommend relying on them for airport transportation. 🏡 Where to StayWe recommend staying in Frisco, as it is closest to our wedding venue and Welcome Party. Dillon, Silverthorne, and Breckenridge are also excellent options, all within a short drive. You can find great accommodations on:AirbnbVrboLocal hotels and condos Since September is a popular time to visit the mountains, we recommend booking your accommodations early. 🚗 Getting AroundFrisco is a very walkable mountain town, and our ceremony and reception are within walking distance of one another. Uber and Lyft are available for getting around locally, and Summit County also offers the free Summit Stage bus system, which connects Frisco, Dillon, Silverthorne, Breckenridge, Keystone, and Copper Mountain. 🏔️ Make a Weekend of It!Take some time to enjoy the mountains! Whether it's hiking, biking, shopping on Main Street, relaxing by Dillon Reservoir, visiting local breweries, or exploring nearby mountain towns, we hope you'll make a weekend out of your trip and experience everything Summit County has to offer.

✈️ Flying into Colorado? If you're flying into Denver International Airport (DEN), we highly recommend using Peak 1 Express if you don't plan on renting a car. Peak 1 Express provides convenient shuttle service from Denver International Airport directly to Frisco and other Summit County towns. The ride typically takes about 1.5 hours, depending on traffic and weather, and is a great option if you'd rather relax and enjoy the mountain views instead of driving. They offer shared and private shuttle options, track your flight for delays, and provide door-to-door service to many hotels and vacation rentals. 🚐 We recommend booking your shuttle in advance, especially during the busy September season. Please note: Uber and Lyft are available in Summit County, but rides to and from Denver International Airport are often very expensive, especially during peak travel times. If you won't have a rental car, Peak 1 Express is typically the most convenient and cost-effective option. Book your shuttle on their website or call them! Mountain views are available at the Hotel Frisco. Rooms feature free Wi-Fi. Breckenridge is less than 20 minutes’ drive away. A flat-screen cable TV is available in all rooms at the Hotel Frisco. Free toiletries are also provided. Guests can enjoy a communal library with a fireplace at the Frisco Hotel. A lounge is also onsite and features a selection of boutique beers and wins, as well as appetizers. Vail is 30 minutes’ drive from the hotel. Copper Mountain is just 6.5 miles away.

Hotel Frisco

Nestled in the historic town of Frisco, Colorado, this hotel features a garden courtyard complete with a hot tub and outdoor fireplace. A homemade breakfast is served daily. All rooms include free Wi-Fi. Boasting mountain views, each charming room at Frisco Lodge includes coffee-making facilities. After a day of exploring, guests can relax in front of their flat-screen TV with HBO film channels and a DVD player. An evening wine reception complete with hors d’oeuvres is served at Frisco Lodge Colorado. Guests can gather in the amply furnished living room complete with a wood stove. This motel is located in Frisco. Each room is equipped with free WiFi and a cable TV. Frisco Bay Marina is 5 minutes’ walk from the motel. A microwave, a small refrigerator and coffee-making facilities are offered in all rooms at Snowshoe Motel Frisco. An private bathroom is also included. The property offers free parking. Dillon Reservoir is 5 minutes’ drive from the motel. Keystone Ski Area is 10 mi from Snowshoe Motel.

Frisco Cedar Cabin is located in Frisco 1.1 miles from Frisco Historic Park 25 miles from Vail Nordic Center and 25 miles from Vail Golf Club. This property has a patio free private parking and free WiFi. The vacation home is composed of 4 bedrooms a living room a fully equipped kitchen and 3 bathrooms. A TV and DVD player as well as a CD player are available. The nearest airport is Eagle County Regional Airport 60 miles from the vacation home.
